This page will be hosted here until such time as Magnus Ramström himself either asks me to remove the page or
to point to his updated page,
if one should become available. On Dec 27, 2007 I redesigned the background image so that it worked properly with
widescreen systems. I will at some point try to update small portions of the site while retaining the original site.
The page of Magnus Number Cruncher
Due to new Swedish laws I will erase all names on these pages.
I am truly sorry about that and expect reason to win in the end.
Welcome to my corner of the internet, and
thanks for stopping by. This page is possible thanks to the
people at the Department
of Numerical Analysis and Computing Science at
the Royal Institute of
Technology. When evaluating the design I have used software from
NetScape.

Magnus
Robot Fighter
Magnus Robot Fighter is a comic published under the
Valiant imprint of
Acclaim Comics.
I started reading it for its name and
found it was a great comic. It is the continuation of Magnus Robot Fighter
4,000 A.D. that was published under the Gold Key imprint of Western Publishing
Company in the 60's and 70's. A second Valiant universe, that will
include a new Magnus series was launched by Acclaim on my 30th birthday.
With time more and more material relating to Magnus and his world
(as defined both by Gold Key and Valiant) will show up here.
For those of you who like riddles:
There are actually two things on this page (outside this section)
that can, kind of, be seen as references to Magnus issues. The big
one (the reference I have actively chosen to use), and one extremely
subtle, that is purely coincidental. So:
From where have I taken the handle Magnus Number Cruncher?
What connection does my daughter have to a specific Magnus comic?
So far the only person who has been able to guess it, is the
famous XX XXXX.

Something about me
I started studying at KTH
1985 at
Applied Physics but after a while (including military service)
I found that my call was
Computing Science. While studying (almost) full-time I worked for
the AutoCAD distributor Datech. Like many others I couldn't resist to
start working full-time and since then my studies have been part-time.
When Datech went bank-rupt I started taking consultant assignments.
Word got out about my abilities, so I've been given some quite
challanging tasks on three continents.
I just finished a contract for
Autodesk, Inc. in Petaluma, California, and now I'm a partner at
Carasoft AB.
XXXXXX, my first-born daughter arrived
1995-04-01 03:15 PST. XXXXX, her brother arrived 1996-09-27 12:57 CET. They
are right now the most important things in my life.
Despite work and family I'm still (thanks to supportive teachers such as XXXXX
XXXXXX) active at KTH and
still looking forward to completing my studies.
